Road Maintenance Concerns / Reports

This webform will serve as the communication tool for community members who have road maintenance concerns or reports. Once this form is completed and submitted, Glacier Bay Construction will respond within 24-48 hours.

Please note that Glacier Bay Construction will prioritize road maintenance according to severity, current and projected weather, and other conditions - such as spring breakup - that may not prove feasible nor financially prudent to attempt to immediately correct the less than desirable conditions.

As many of you know, living in Gustavus is wonderful but the weather and availability of material, not to mention budget limitations, can make it difficult for our gravel roads to remain consistently maintained. Several contributing factors are ground temperature, rain, snowfall and snow melt. During times when the ground is frozen grading is not possible. When the roads are too wet it makes grading pointless because it will be undone within hours. Snowplowing may best be achieved after the ADOT and PF plow passes through the main road.

It is the goal of the City of Gustavus and Glacier Bay Construction to be good stewards of city’s resources and therefore must prioritize.
