what's happening - December 2025

December is here and so is the slush. With the slush comes all sorts of inside (and outside) fun! Here is what is happening at the library this month: 

Pizza, Puzzles & Games - December 3rd & 19th @ 3:30-6:00pm 

Movie Night @ the Library! - Featuring Captain Fantastic - Free Entry - Concessions for sale -  December 20th @ 6:00pm 

Vision Board Workshop - A Bad Art Program - $5 all supplies included - December 27th @ 2-4 pm 

Christmas Eve & Christmas - December 24th & 25th  - Library Closed

Weekly Events:

Silent Reading- Tuesdays at 5:00 pm (December 2nd, 9th and 16th)

Makers Meetings -  Wednesdays at 7:00pm

Books For Babes - Thursdays at 10:00am 

Library Band - Thursdays at 5:30pm

Library News:

- Come check out new titles! Librarian Melisa has been on a cataloging roll and the shelves are topped off with some new reads. Don't forget the library offers more that just good books. We've got DVD's, magazines, STEM kits and the best winter activity of all puzzles. Gustavus Public Library is here for you to occupy these dark winter nights. 

- Holiday Fundraiser! Check out the meeting room starting December 3rd to check out all the books we have for sale. Maybe snag a good read for yourself or as a gift!  

- Storywalk Trail has a new book! How Does Santa Go Down the Chimney? by Mac Barnett. A fun read with all the snow on the ground. Come read and walk before it melts! Encouraged for ALL ages to enjoy, not just our littlest library patrons. 

-Library will be closed December 24th and 25th in observation of Christmas.
