Mechanical Engineering Summer Camp, Grades 6th-12th; Building a Corn Puff Guillotine
Calendar Date:
Join camp instructor, Geneva Mottet, and learn about Physics!
This summer camp provides 10 hours of hands-on instruction about the physics of fluid power, design and building of pneumatic mechanical systems, and final demonstration of student inventions to the community. This camp is associated with the fluid power action challenge program done through the National Fluid Power Association, a Mechanical Engineering Professional Society. For seniors in high school, completion of this camp can provide access to a college scholarship in engineering.
The camp will be taught in-person with lab kits provided to each student. There will be a hybrid remote option for students outside the Gustavus area where lab kits can be requested, and participants may attend via Zoom during the normal camp hours.
